 Abstract

My observation was toward my 3 years old brother. How he sees the world, how he reacts to everything he sees. His behavior is totally different than Tanisha ( his elder sister, who’s 6 years old). The way he eats sleep, plays makes me think deeper. He always does something to make us laugh. And we love to see his smile and creativity.

Keywords: Toddler, consciousness, vision, concept, behavior.

It’s difficult to understand the flow of a kid. Their mind is still developing and their mind is not stable. What they decided a few minutes ago eventually they change their mind after a few minutes. I have been observing my brother science he born. But specifically from 03/20/2020, what I have been observing on him is how he sees the world in a litter deeper way. Which is totally different than how I see the world. He is currently 3 years old. And his name is Samiullah. Starting from waking up to falling asleep. As an adult when I don’t have anything to do I woke up a little late. However, as a kid obviously he never had anything to do, but he wakes up earlier than all other members in my family.

One of the most important observations that surprised me is when his time to eat. He has some dolls, I was wondering if he thinks those dolls are alive. The reason makes me think that because during my observation my mom gave him some food. While he was eating food at the same time he was feeding his unicorn too. An example is seen in figure 1.

Note: He is busying feeding his doll than feeding himself.

My confusion started getting the more influential cause of his understandings of living and non-living things. The way he plays with his toys ans the way he talks to his toys it makes me think that those toys are living. Even when it’s time for sleep he takes his toys with him to makes them fall asleep too as shown in figure 2.

Note: His meditation of dolls needs to sleep too.

Babie doesn’t need any specific toy to play with. Babies are anxious to learn about the environment around them, and they have much to discover. Every new shape, color, texture, taste, and sound is an educational experience for them.  “Giving your baby toys that are safe and stimulating will help him discover his senses” (Children Development). Toys with different colors are fascinating to babies including stimulating their developing vision. In childhood, there is no restriction of what kids can play and they can’t. I saw Samiullah start playing with anything he found interesting. My mom always wears a bangle for some traditional reasons. However, he doesn’t understand that this is for girls not for boys. He follows his younger sister, doesn’t matter if

She is doing girly stuff. He doesn’t have that conscious right now. He doesn’t know what is for an adult and what is for a teen. The first three ages of life are the most significant for brain development. Brain connector frequency is at its most distinguished level in the initial three years of life, that doesn’t mean that the brain has its most prominent brain power at that time. A surpassing deal of learning continues after the first three years of life. Therefore, I  assume that Samiullah will start to get mature after his age boundary.

On 03/27/202, I was kind of distracted by him. Because what I observed in someway it was funny but if you are a kind of pressing person that would make you enraged easily. Around in the evening time, he was watching a cartoon on my mom’s phone as soon as the battery has died he just simply took away my younger sister’s tablet without even making any sound while she was using it. She started to cry after that my mom came and managed her. Her name is Tanisha and she is 6 years old. However, I felt like just because she is a little mature than Samiullah, sometimes she has to sacrifice her toys and sometimes dresses or shoes too. On March 30 Tanisha received a dress from one of my relatives. Despite she had to let him wear her dress for just 5 minutes. And after that, he was calm and the emptiness of not having new clothes healed up. Even though the dress he wore was for a girl. “During early infancy, babies are extremely egocentric. They have no concept that the world exists separate from their point of view and experience” (Kendra, 2019). He doesn’t even realize how his sis would feel, his consciousness still hasn’t developed yet. That’s why he doesn’t care about what his sister going to feel. However, with all this, I just can’t wait to see him getting mature.

Finally, he always makes all our family members laugh with his immaturity. If he can’t pronounce something he just makes up a short cut way to expose it. For example, the name is Tanisha but he calls Tata. Sometimes he acts like a smart kid too. Whenever my mom screams at Tanisha, he acts like a hero to protects his sister. He loves everyone’s attention to him. That always makes him happy. After this field study, I feel like now I even know him more. I have been observing him since he was born. But I never think deeper about his behaviors. Toddlers need as much attention as possible. They need our love our attention to help to develop their consciousness. There’s nothing valuable than seeing their smile.

This article talks about toddler’s cognitive developments. From their point of view, the world is totally separate than we see it. As the child becomes older and has more further experiences, his or her schemas will double and become much more complicated.

This article talks about why toys are important for kids. Toys stimulate babies to discover their senses. There are so many different colors of toys that help kids and they also get fascinated and simulation their vision to develop.
